Government Introduces 'National Creators Award' to Honor Digital Influencers
The Indian government has launched the 'National Creators Award' to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of digital influencers and creators in the country. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), aims to recognize the diverse voices and talents shaping India's digital landscape. The award spans over 20 categories, including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recognition of the transformative power of the creator economy inspired the launch of the 'National Creators Award'. It aims to spotlight those driving positive social change, fostering innovation, and contributing to India's cultural narrative in the digital sphere. Categories such as 'Disruptor of the Year,' 'Celebrity Creator of the Year,' 'International Creator Award,' and 'Tech Creator Award' highlight exceptional creativity, innovation, and influence.
The selection process involves nominations, screening, public voting, and evaluation by a jury. Winners will be announced based on a combination of jury and public votes. The award aims to inspire, recognize, and celebrate the transformative potential of digital media in building an inclusive and empowered society.
